Call for Papers - Feminist Fabulations in Algorithmic Empires
We seek to recognize and explore cultural methods of survival and resistance within existing biased, market-driven digital empires. This will be done by creating a collection of scholarly research that foregrounds storytelling and embodiment, not just as a means of reimagining lost or partial accounts of marginalized lives, or misrepresentations of the past, but also as a way of imagining alternative intersectional feminist futures and technologies, based on creativity, playfulness, and diversity.

Special screening of the film Half Elf to celebrate World Anthropology Day on 16 February 2023
In celebration of World Anthropology Day, the Department of Anthropology together with the Assisting Living and Learning Institute hosted a screening of Jón Bjarki Magnússon‘s critically acclaimed film Half Elf on Thursday 16th February. The audience were delighted to take part in a Q & A session with the writer and director, Jón Bjarki Magnússon, directly after the film.
