Degrees that include an accredited Placement:
Over 48 Maynooth University undergraduate and postgraduate courses include an accredited Placement (Internship) period where students gain work/professional experience as a requirement of their degree.
Placements in the following courses are managed by the Placement Office i.e. Accounting Business, Computer Science, Chemistry, Data Analytics, Design Innovation, Economics, Electronic Engineering.. To find out more visit The Placement Office website

Employer Recruitment Stands (Pop Up Stands)
Our popular Employer Recruitment Stands are back and an ideal way to meet students on-campus. These stands run weekly during key term dates (link below) on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Employers can bring either their large stands or pop up banners, just this must be discussed with us when booking, and depends on the event location available. Graduate Career Stories:
Students find it extremely beneficial to hear from former graduates and this creates awareness of your organisation via the homepages of Academic Departments and the Careers Service, yet this resource is currently underused by employers. Using our ‘online Graduate Career Story form’, submit max 4/5 stories from MU Alumni currently on your staff (at different stages of their career and/or in different roles) . Please email employers@mu.ie to let us know once a Graduate Story or Stories have been submitted.
Remember you can also take part in Alumni Mentoring, Run Insight Days, Competitions or Challenges and/or offer Micro Internships Placements, Summer Internships - for more information on these options go to the relevant section on this website.
Recruitment Agencies:Recruitment Agencies can register on the Careers Connect platform. We ask recruitment agencies not to post multiple roles but rather key roles relevant to final years and recent graduates (max 0-2 years experience required). When posting roles to Careers Connect, recruitment agencies must indicate the name of the organisation for which they are hiring and choose whether or not this name is visible to applicants. Due to the extremely high number of teaching vacancies received, rather that posting individual vacanies, we have set up a section on our website with links to the relevant organisations. While Volunteering opportunities are not advertised on the Careers Connect portal, Maynooth University in partnership with a network of other Irish higher education institutions have come together to create a free online resource to advertise voluntary opportunities. Studentvolunteer.ie connects students and community groups, charities, schools, hospitals, public bodies and NGOs across Ireland. Studentvolunteer.ie have also recently begun to advertise volunteering opportunities abroad.
