Possibilities and potentials of autoethnography in qualitative research - a roundtable seminar for academics and doctoral students
To mark the visit of Dr Alison Fixsen, Senior Lecturer and Deputy Chair of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Research and Ethics Committee at the University of Westminster, we held a facilitated conversation between Alison and Dr Jerry O'Neill, Department of Adult and Community Education, Maynooth University. Together we discussed the possibilities and potentials of autoethnography in qualitative research and shared our own ups and down with this messy methodological landscape which, we believe, makes an important contribution both individually and collectively as we seek to make sense of, and change, the world around us.
