Traditionally the PhD has been about becoming an expert in one particular aspect of a single discipline. More recently, however, funders have encouraged the establishment of broader, interdisciplinary PhD programmes to increase innovation, creativity and employability.

Dr Olga Ryazanova has been elected as Research Coordinator of the Management Education and Development division of the Academy of Management. She will serve in this role for the next two years, helping to identify and promote best research in the area of management education.
