Dr Delia Ferri presents on Reasonable Accommodation for People with Disabilities in the Workplace at the University of Kassel (Germany)
 
Dr. Delia Ferri was recently invited to speak in the final plenary session of the Conference “The Right to Work for Persons with Disabilities − International Perspectives” at the University of Kassel (Germany).  

The conference was sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and  organized by the Research Association Social Rights and Social Politics (University of Kassel, University of Applied Sciences Fulda), in cooperation with the International Center for Development and Decent Work (University of Kassel) and the University of Applied Sciences of the German Social Accident Insurance (HGU) (http://www.the-right-to-work.com/index_en.html).
 
Dr. Delia Ferri has written and commented extensively on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. She has co-authored various research reports for the European Commission on the rights of people with disabilities. Her most recent report, co-authored with Prof. Anna Lawson (University of Leeds), focuses on “Reasonable accommodation for disabled people in employment .A legal analysis of the situation in EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway” (http://ec.europa.eu/justice/discrimination/files/reasonable_accommodation_in_employment_final2_en.pdf).

Dr. Delia Ferri teaches EU Law, European Constitutional Law, and International and Comparative Disability Law  at Maynooth University Department of Law
