Prof Doherty appeared on RTE’s Drivetime show on August 3rd to discuss the case of an executive who was awarded €7,500 for working excessive hours.
Professor Doherty researches widely in the area of employment law and policy. He contributed, as the National Expert for Ireland, to a recent report on transparent and predictable working conditions in Europe, which fed into the European Commission proposal for a Directive on Transparent and Predictable Working Conditions.
Prof Doherty is Head of Maynooth University Department of Law and lectures courses to all first year law students on Introduction to Law, as well as Employment Law to BCL/ LLB students.
