Congratulations to Siobhán Barrett, PhD student of Early Irish, for passing her viva at Maynooth. Her PhD thesis is a "Study of the lexicon of the Poems of Blathmac son of Cú Brettan". It consist of a closely annotated database of the eighth-century Old Irish poems of Blathmac, and including an edition and translation of the hitherto unpublished "Fragmentary Quatrains" and a revolutionary interpretation of Blathmac's second poem.
