The annual Chinese Teaching Friendship Competition for Ireland and Northern Ireland took place on 28 January 2024 at University College Dublin. Among the 17 contestants, Ms. Qi, Ziwen, a Chinese Language teacher from the School of Modern Language, Literatures, and Cultures at Maynooth University, stood out with her engaging presentation. Competing with representatives from renowned institutions such as University College Dublin, University College Cork, University of Galway, Ulster University, and others, Ms. Qi showcased her expertise in language instruction. She incorporated the trendy topic "Traveling in Harbin" along with effective Chinese grammar teaching techniques in the mock lecture. Her innovative approach and engaging teaching style earned her the third prize. The competition highlighted the commitment of instructors and promoted cultural exchange and collaboration among participating universities.
