Thursday, March 18, 2021 - 13:45

We are delighted that two of Dr. Eilish Dillon's articles have been chosen for a special commemorative, fifteenth anniversary collection of the Centre for Global Education's bi-annual, peer reviewed, online journal, 'Policy and Practice: A Development Education Review' - Development Education Review. The journal aims to celebrate and promote good practice in development education, inform the work of practitioners, and support dialogical exchange between educators locally and internationally. It debates and affirms the transformative capacity of education to create a more just and equal world by enabling citizens to take informed action toward positive social change.
Eilish's articles are: 'Critical History Matters: Understanding Development Education in Ireland Today through the Lens of the Past', which appeared in Policy and Practice in Autumn 2018 - Critical History Matters: Understanding Development Education in Ireland Today through the Lens of The Past | Development Education Review and 'Connecting the Personal and the Political: Feminist Perspectives on Development Education', which appeared in Policy and Practice in Autumn 2019 - Connecting the Personal and the Political: Feminist Perspectives on Development Education | Development Education Review

Included among the editors for the book, who also have articles in it, are Dr. Mags Liddy, occasional tutor at the Department of International Development and Dr. Gerard McCann, external examiner on our MA in International Development Programme. The book is now available to purchase at the Centre for Global Development's website - Centre for Global Education
