The most recent issue of the Journal of Military History (Vol. 82, n.4 (October 2018)) contains an article by Professor Filipe Ribeiro de Meneses. Entitled ‘“Not only useless, but dangerous”? The Portuguese Expeditionary Corps in France in the aftermath of the battle of La Lys, 9 April 1918’, it covers the final months of the Portuguese Army's service on the Western Front and the difficult relations that developed between Portuguese and British military authorities on the subject.
