History PhD student speaks at IFHS conference

Current Hume Scholar and PhD candidate in History at Maynooth University, Declan Brady, will give a talk at the Irish Family History Society conference at Dublin City Archives, Gilbert Library, 138-44 Pearse St, Dublin, this Saturday, 11th November at 11:15 am. The conference takes place over the full day, with registration at 10:00am. Admission is free and all are welcome.
 
Declan will speak about his recently published book, 'Culture, politics and local government in Fingal, 1891-1914', based on his  MA thesis. The book is part of the Maynooth Studies in Local History series, and he will focus on the sources used and how historical and genealogical sources complement each other when used together.
