Decade of Commemorations: Department of History

Wednesday, March 16, 2016 - 14:15

Teaching staff, research fellows, postgraduate students, undergraduates and alumni of the Department of History are involved in a wide variety of ways in new scholarship and outreach throughout what is rightly termed a ‘decade of centenaries’. The range of research interests of the Department, nationally and internationally, across this period is reflected in the programme of events in which colleagues and students are involved during 2016: lectures, conferences, seminars, exhibitions, publications, field excursions, historical re-enactments and more. The university webpage gives details across all departments;  History Commemoration events March-April 2016   highlights contributions of the History Department at Maynooth University during March and April. (A more extended list will be posted in early April.)

Publications include The Irish Revolution, 1912-23 (Four Courts Press), a new series edited by Professor Marian Lyons (Chair of History, MU) and Dr Daithí Ó Corráin (DCU).
