Emeritus Professor John Sweeney has recently been awarded the first European Meteorological Society Award for Achievements in Journalism.
The award aims to support and highlight authors who produce outstanding examples of journalism in the field of meteorology or climatology that help to bridge the communication gap between science including its applications and the public.
We are delighted to see John's contributions recognised in this way.
