The Chemistry Department’s Athena Swan Communications & Promotion EDI Subcommittee held an Internal Training & Networking Event on the 16th of April 2025. This event highlighted the ongoing work being carried out in Chemistry Department in advance of their renewal for their Athena Swan award. This engaging event included talks by Dr Vinnie Fagan (Chair Athena Swan Communications & Promotion Sub Committee), Ms. Barbara Woods (Micro-credential Brewing & Distilling), Prof Carmel Breslin (ElectroMaterials & Energy) and Dr Gordon Greville (Glycosylation in Chronic Liver Disease). Four postgraduate students, Keane McNamee, Giulia Ferrari, Oliwier Dulawa & Alexandra Lapiy each gave a Three Minute Thesis Flash Talk on their work, providing fascinating overviews of their research work being carried out in the department.
Thanks to those who organised and attended this very successful event.
