Accredited Programmes

The Centre for Teaching and Learning offers three accredited programmes in teaching, learning and assessment. Full details for each programme are available in the links to the left of this page.
 

NEW: Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Higher Education Teaching, Learning and Assessment ** APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED - 1 JULY 2019 **

These are new flexible programmes that replace the previously delivered Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education (PGDHE). These new programmes are aimed at providing those who teach in higher education with the opportunity to engage with the theory, concepts and contemporary discourse of learning, teaching and assessment in higher education and to consider how these impact and influence their practice.

The Certificate (PCHETL)  *** COMMENCING OCTOBER 2019 *** 

This is a flexible 30 ECTS programme. Participants may elect to complete the Certificate over a period of up to two years. They also have the option to progress to the Diploma.

The Diploma (PDHETL)

This is a 60 ECTS programme (including the 30 ECTS Certificate) that can be completed over a period of up to 4 years from commencing the Certificate. You must register for and complete the Certificate (PCHETL) to progress to Diploma.

 
Professional Certificate in Teaching and Learning for Tutors and Demonstrators (CTL1)

This is a certified Maynooth University Continuing Professional Development (CPD) module. The programme is also recognised as a 5 ECTS Transferable Skills Module under the Structured PhD/Masters programme. 

The course is open to Maynooth University postgraduate students and graduates currently teaching within departments at Maynooth University.
