Michael Gaffey, Director General of the Development Cooperation and Africa Division (Irish Aid), recently visited Maynooth University to discuss, 'The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Global Development - Lessons Learned and Future Directions', with a cross-section of students from the MU Department of International Development and MU Department of Anthropology. Thanks to Michael and his colleagues Aoife and Hannah for organising such an engaging event and thanks also to the students for the critical questions and comments.

A.C. Elias Ireland / North America Research Travel Fellowship
The A.C. Elias Ireland/North America Research Travel Fellowship provides up to $2,500 in funding to support "documentary scholarship on Ireland in the period between the Treaty of Limerick (1691) and the Act of Union (1800).” It enables North American-based scholars to travel to Ireland and Irish-based scholars to travel to North America.
