IRC Employment Based PhD Research Scheme Launched for 2013

Employment Based PhD launched by IRC

The Irish Research Council has published terms & conditions of their 2013-14 Employment Based Postgraduate Programme.

IMPORTANT: Under this scheme, PhD/Research Masters students are employed by the partner organization and at the same time are registered as full time research student at the University. To be eligible to apply for funding under this scheme, you must have an agreement with an Irish based private business or public body which would employ you for the duration of the PhD or Research Master and will provide co-funding.

Applications from all disciplines supported by the IRC (both former IRCSET and IRCHSS disciplines). Only new PhD/Research Master students are eligible to apply. Internal Maynooth University application deadline will be 10am on Wednesday, 18th September.

The IRC submission deadline is 4pm on Tuesday 24th September. Note that applications not submitted before the internal Maynooth University deadline might not be endorsed by the University. The online application system is not open for applications at the moment and the guide for applicants is yet to be published. An information session for applicants and supervisors will be held on Tuesday 13th August from 2 to 4 pm and on Wednesday 14th August from 11 am to 1 pm (same content).
