Seth Barrett Tillman was quoted extensively in The Washington Post in regard to whether the US Senate has a duty to consider the President's nominee to the Supreme Court of the United States. Tillman argued based on the canonical Marbury v Madison (1803) that the Senate has no such duty.

The article in which Tillman is quoted is authored by Jonathan Adler and entitled ‘Again on the erroneous argument that the Senate has a ‘constitutional duty’ to consider a Supreme Court nominee’. It was published in The Washington Post on 26 March 2016.

Seth Barrett Tillman is a Lecturer in Law at Maynooth University Department of Law where he lectures in Equity and Trusts and in Introduction to the American Legal System at undergraduate level.
