Recovery Oriented Mental Health Services in Ireland: Introducing Kyrie Therapeutic Farm
Maynooth University will co-host a one-day conference with Kyrie Therapeutic Farm and Mental Health Ireland to shed light on recovery-oriented mental health services in Ireland.
Join us at the Royal Irish Academy, on October 10th, to learn more about Kyrie Farm's groundbreaking initiative and its potential impact on mental health care in the country. With contributions from those with lived experience, leading psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, and a keynote from Lisanne Finston, CEO of Gould Farm in Massachusetts; the day will include talks, research presentations, panel discussions, lunch and refreshments.
Our speakers also include our conference chair Catherine Brogan, Chair of the National Implementation and Monitoring Committee for Sharing the Vision; Dr Pat Bracken, Consultant Psychiatrist and contributor to the WHO Guidance on community mental health services: Promoting person-centred and rights-based approaches; Ciara Glynn, Peer Support Worker, Board Member Mental Health Reform; Ber Grogan, Mental Health Reform; Lisa Archibald Co-Director of Intention Peer Support; John Mckeon CEO and Founder of Kyrie Farm; Dr Iseult Twamley, Open Dialogue Trainer; Dr Catriona O'Toole, Associate Professor, Maynooth University, and Sarah Hourigan (founder of Nature Therapy Ireland) from Mental Health Ireland. We are also delighted to welcome peer support worker Sandra O'Sullivan to our lived experience panel.
