This Forum of Higher Education Institutions meets 3 times a year to examine means to enhance our FET initial teacher education (ITE) programmes and work with stakeholders in FET in achieving the FET Strategy (SOLAS, 2014) objectives. The Forum 3 year strategy (2017-2020) aims to address the high level goals set out for FET:

2. Active Inclusion
3. Quality provision
4. Integrated Planning and Funding
5. Standing of FET
Maynooth University Department of Adult and Community Education HDFE (Higher Diploma in Further Education) team are 2016-2018 convenors and administrators.
Implementation of the Forum Implementation plan and co-operation in researching course graduate career progression are key points for this meeting.
