Brendan Kennedy is a pianist from Dublin, Ireland. In 2020, he completed the Masters in Music Performance programme at the Royal Irish Academy of Music under the tuition of Lance Coburn where he achieved a first class honours. Brendan has participated in various piano competitions. He secured 2nd prize at the 2020 International Moscow Music Online Competition. Additionally, in July 2019, Brendan made his professional solo debut at Castletown House in Kildare and has since given solo recitals in venues such as Maynooth University and Calary Church in Wicklow.

Brendan has also participated in piano master classes with renowned pianists such as Sinae
Lee, Alexander Bernstein, Therese Fahy and John O’Conor. He was also a participant in the 2022 International Winter School at the Moscow State Conservatory where he took classes with Natalia Trull. Brendan has wide experience in accompaniment and has worked with many instrumentalists and singers for performances within the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Maynooth University, and the National Concert Hall.

In addition to his work as a solo pianist, Brendan thoroughly enjoys the song and opera literature and has experience as a repetiteur for opera rehearsals. In 2022, he was the apprentice repetiteur at Lyric Opera Studio Weimar where he played for rehearsals of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Johann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus. He returned in 2023 for rehearsals of Mozart’s Don Giovanni.
