Recent Faculty Publication

A recent publication, by our faculty member, Dr Marian Crowley-Henry is now in print version in the international peer-reviewed academic journal: The International Journal of Human Resource Management, Volume 29, Issue 13, July 2018, Pages 2054-2079, DOI: 10.1080/09585192.2016.1262889. The paper is entitled: “Talent management of skilled migrants: propositions and an agenda for future research” and is written by Marian and an international colleague, Professor Akram Al Ariss from Toulouse Business School, France.

Book Launch Chinese Studies 3rd October 2018

On 3rd October 2018 a book launch was held in Maynooth University to launch Dr Zhouxiang Lu's new publications; Politics and Identity in Chinese Martial Arts & Olympics in Conflict: From the Games of the New Emerging Forces to the Rio Olympics both recently published by Routledge. Professor Arnd Witte spoke at the launch and an enjoyable evening was had by friends and colleagues.

Maynooth University Law Students’ Report on Safe Haven Ireland

Safe Haven Ireland (“SHI”) is a not for profit initiative founded in 2015. Its primary objective is to empower young people and foster integration in Ireland. In 2018, a volunteer group of Maynooth University undergraduate and postgraduate law students undertook an evaluation of Safe Haven Ireland’s sailing trips in 2016. The evaluation was in the form of a survey of participants in the trips. The survey was designed, distributed and analysed by the students under the supervision of Dr Clíodhna Murphy, Lecturer in the Department of Law. It is planned that, this year, a further group of students will analyse the experiences of participants on the 2017 and 2018 sailings.
