Online Talk on Irish South Asian Radical Connections With Catherine Candy and Laurence Cox:

Terry Dunne, the Department of Sociology's own PhD graduate will be hosting professor Laurence Cox, from the Department of Sociology in Maynooth University, and associate professor Catherine Candy, from the University of New Orleans, to talk about the social history of the Irish revolution and discuss some of the Irish people who were involved in anti-colonial agitation in South Asia and were influenced by local ideas.
Catherine is the author of the forthcoming ‘Mystics Against Empire: Margaret and James Cousins, 1873-1956’ 
Laurence is the co-author of ‘The Irish Buddhist: The Forgotten Monk Who Faced Down the British Empire’.
