WHAT TASKS CAN I EXPECT TO PERFORM?
The general role of administrators is to support decision-makers in fulfilling the mission of their institution or body.  AD 5 is the grade at which most graduates begin their careers as administrators in the European institutions. If you are recruited at this grade following this competition, you will do, as part of a team, one of three main types of work in the EU institutions:

  • policy formulation;
  • operational delivery;
  • resource management.

 
AM I ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
The application form is divided in 2 parts, each with its own deadline. You must meet ALL of the following conditions when you validate the first part of your online application.

  1. General conditions:
  • Enjoy full rights as a citizen of a Member State of the EU
  • Meet any obligations under national laws on military service
  • Meet the character requirements for the duties concerned

2)    Specific conditions — languages:
You must have knowledge of at least 2 official EU languages ; one at minimum C1 level (thorough knowledge) and the other at minimum B2 level (satisfactory knowledge).
