The Department of Theoretical Physics welomes Dr. Sergio Hoertner (Luxembourg) to give his talk on Cost functionals for holographic complexity

Complexity has been introduced in the holographic dictionary as a dual descriptor of the growth of the Einstein-Rosen bridge in the interior of a black hole long after thermalization. Several proposals relating boundary complexity to the bulk geometry have been constructed, most notably based on bulk volume and action. We present a framework for the discussion of holographic complexity based on cost functionals. Connections with TTbar deformations and spin chains will be highlighted.
