Maynooth University Department of Law graduate, David Fitzmaurice (BCL International 2012), recently began a federal judicial clerkship with Judge Paul A. Crotty in the Southern District of New York.
After graduating from our BCL (Law and Arts) programme, David clerked for President Rosemary Horgan in the Irish District Court. Subsequently, David moved to America to pursue an LLM at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. At Penn Law, he served as an editor of Penn's Journal of Constitutional Law and was on the law school's Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team. In addition to his studies at Penn Law, David interned each week with Judge Anthony J. Scirica in the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
