The Hamilton Institute has an RF Shielded Room, suitable for conducting controlled experiments with small devices using WiFi, and other similar wireless technologies. The inside of the sheilded room is approximately 4.5m long, 2.5m wide and 2.5m tall. With the door closed, the room provides more than 100dB attenuation between 1GHz and 10GHz (there is significant attenuation at other frequencies too). The walls and ceiling have pyramidal microwave absorbers. Power, ethernet networking and air conditioning are available in the room and are filtered to provide a clean RF environment.

There is also a larger test facility currently under construction.  It will be a certified 86 GHz, 10x6x6 meter custom facility, with ability to do antenna and protocol testing, and should be available for use in late 2018.
