Professor Michael O'Flaherty, incoming Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights presents keynote address at School of Law and Criminology Event

On Wednesday, 7 February 2024 the School of Law and Criminology were delighted host an event with the incoming Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights and adjunct professor at Maynooth University, Professor Michael O'Flaherty, entitled ‘The Future of Human Rights in Europe: My Priorities as Incoming Commissioner of Human Rights of the Council of Europe’.
 
Chaired by Professor Delia Ferri, School of Law and Criminology and Co director of the Assisting living and learning (ALL) Institute and introduced by Dr Fergus Ryan, Head of the School of Law and Criminology, Professor O’Flaherty delivered his keynote address to a room of staff and students from the school and Maynooth University overall, followed by an interesting discussion. We wish Professor O’Flaherty every success in his new role and look forward to welcoming him back in the future.
