Prof Michael Doherty publishes piece in the Irish Supreme Court Review.
The piece “An Outpost at a Difficult and Indistinct Frontier: Zalewski v Workplace Relations Commission” discusses the decision of the Irish Supreme Court in Zalewski v Workplace Relations Commission, which focused on the system for the resolution of employment law disputes established in the Workplace Relations Act 2015.

MU research recommends ‘family’ approach within mental health services
New research by the Maynooth University Centre for Mental Health and Community Research has recommended the development of a ‘whole of family’ approach within mental health services, including automatic consideration of children when a parent has a mental health illness.

Professor McMahon appeared before the Joint Committee on Enterprise Trade and Employment to discuss TRIPS waiver of intellectual property rights
The TRIPS waiver was proposed by India and South Africa in October 2020, and is supported by over 100 States globally. It proposes to temporarily suspend intellectual property rights under the TRIPS Agreement for COVID-19 health-technologies, including vaccines, medicines and diagnostics.
