Dr Michael G Cronin, lecturer in the Department of English, has contributed essays to two recently published collections on contemporary Ireland. ‘Irish Studies between the past and the future’ appeared in Are the Irish Different?, edited by Prof Tom Inglis (Manchester University Press, 2014). Meanwhile, ‘Clubs, closets and catwalks: GAA stars and the politics of contemporary Irish masculinity’ is included in Masculinity and Irish Popular Culture: Tiger Tales, edited by Dr. Conn Holohan and Dr.Tony Tracy (Palgrave 2014).
