Maynooth MSc in Economic and Financial Risk Analysis now an academic partner for the GARP (Global Association of Risk Professionals)

The MSc in Economic and Financial Risk Analysis offered by the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting at Maynooth University has been approved as an academic partner for the GARP (Global Association of Risk Professionals).

The MSc was launched in response to the changing economic and financial environment and is designed to provide students with the fundamental concepts and the necessary tools required by the financial sector. The degree focuses on Financial Risk Analysis, Derivatives, Investments and Econometrics and the challenging curriculum covers cutting edge quantitative and modeling techniques that will enable the student to adapt to the ever changing world of risk management.

GARP’s Academic Partnership Program was created to help colleges and universities improve their risk management course offerings.
This distinction recognises the quality and the breadth of the teaching that we provided for that degree. It is a clear signal that the programme provides an excellent preparation for a future job in the banking and financial sectors and for the FRM examinations.
