The Dean of Teaching and Learning and Staff of the Centre for Teaching and Learning were delighted to congratulate first year students across the university with certificates of completion of the Student Plus Academic Support course run in Semester one this year. The Student Plus course gives first year students an opportunity to learn and develop key academic skills to support their learning in first year and for their time in Maynooth University. Students engage in learning with peers from beyond their own programmes and disciplines in a small group environment which builds their confidence socially and academically.
Attending the Presentation of Certificates on 5th March, 2019, were The Dean of Teaching and Learning Dr. Alison Hood, Co-ordinator, Margaret Keane, and Student Plus Tutors Egle Kackute and Declan Brady.
