The Maynooth University Departments of Ancient Classics and Music, in conjunction with the Maynooth University Arts and Humanities Institute, are hosting a special event on Friday 22 February at 15:00 in John Hume Lecture Theatre 7 on the North Campus. Professor Armand D’Angour of the University of Oxford will speak on ‘The Rediscovery of Ancient Greek Music’.
Because of the nature of Professor D’Angour’s lecture, which will include AV demonstrations of ancient Greek music, a two-hour slot has been assigned to the event, with plenty of discussion time included. The lecture will be followed at 17:00 with a reception on the first floor of the Iontas building.
