On 19th October at 7.30pm we welcome Professor Chi-chi Nwanoku, who is Professor of Historical Double-bass Studies at the Royal Academy of Music, a founding member of the Orchestra of the Age of Englightment, and founder and artistic director of the Chineke! On 20th October the lecture will be given by Professor Michael Rothberg. Michael Rothberg is Chair of the Department of Comparative Literature, Professor of English and Comparative Literature, and the 1939 Society Samuel Goetz Chair in Holocaust Studies at UCLA. He is the author of  The Implicated Subject: Beyond Victims and Perpetrators (2019) and Multidirectional Memory: Remembering the Holocaust in the Age of Decolonization (2009). Professor Rothberg's lecture title is 'Debating the Holocaust: Multidirectional Memory and the Politics of Comparison in Contemporary Germany' and the booking link is here.
