A graduate of Maynooth University Department of Law's BCL (Law and Business) and LLM programmes, Peter O'Loughlin, has had a very successful year.

Peter went on to complete a second LLM at University College London (UCL) and was subsequently offered a judicial placement, which provided him with the opportunity to Marshall Lord Justice Jackson in the Court of Appeals for England and Wales. Peter was also offered a Teaching Fellowship position at UCL, teaching on the Cross Border Mergers and Acquisitions module on UCL's LLM programme.

In addition to this, Peter was awarded the Valentine Korah Prize for Excellence in Competition Law, which is a prize awarded annually to the best student who specialises in competition law on UCL's LLM programme.

The Department of Law congratulates Peter on his achievements and looks forward to hearing more from him in the future. Read more about our graduates on our website.
