University Registration

University registration consists of two steps:

Step 1.  Online registration.  You will receive an email from the Maynooth University Student Records Office before you come to Ireland with details of how to register online.Please read the information and follow the guidelines carefully; 
and
Step 2. In-person registration.  Details will be provided. 

You need to complete both steps of registration.  When registration is complete you will receive your student ID card.  Please keep your card safe.

Registration information for September 2025

  • New first-year undergraduate students - you will complete registration as part of your orientation programme.  Details to follow. 
  • Transfer undergraduate students (i.e. starting a programme in year 2, 3 or 4, for example CCZU students) - please make an appointment to visit the Student Records Office to complete Step 2 in-person registration. You can make an appointment through the Student Records Office booking form - select Student Cards option on this form. 
  • New Master's students - please make an appointment to visit the Student Records Office to complete Step 2 in-person registration. You can make an appointment through the Student Records Office booking form - select Student Cards option on this form. 
  • New PhD students -please make an appointment to visit the Student Records Office to complete Step 2 in-person registration. You can make an appointment through the Student Records Office booking form - select Student Cards option on this form. 
  • New Erasmus and Arqus students and Exchange/Visiting International Students (e.g. US, Canadian, Nihon U  at MU for one semester or one academic year) - you will complete registration as part of your orientation programme. Details to follow.
