Title: It's All a Game

Abstract: It's all a game - from chess to election campaigns Game Theory is a tool kit to help analyze situations where decision-makers influence each other.  Such situations arise in all walks of life, from arms races to optimal policy choices of presidential candidates, from vaccination policy to major league baseball salary negotiations.  It is a tool which is used in a wide variety of disciplines including economics, finance, politics, sociology, social psychology, philosophy, biology and computer science. Since the late 1970's there has been an explosion of game theory with more and more sophisticated mathematical analysis. This talk however, will be non-technical and it will present the basic logic behind game theory.
