I found Maynooth to be a wonderful educational experience.  I enjoyed every course I did.  I made lifelong friends and hold the fondest memories of my time there.

I was awarded the Thomas Hughes Award for third year geography in 2009.

The campus is in a class of its own with great lecture theatres as well as lovely grounds to walk around.  The facilities on offer are great.

Communication, working to deadlines, teamwork and organisation skills were some of the key skills I took with me from Maynooth.

Go for it.  You won't regret it.

I have been doing what I love for the past eleven years by following a teaching career path.  Although it took me a while to get a permanent position in a school, I am now currently a year head and also hold the post of Assistant Principal.

I teach history and geography and also work in the SEN department.  As year head for the fifth year cohort of students,  I am responsible for looking after their needs and communicating with home. I also have a team of teachers, who are class tutors, and run weekly meetings to discuss all aspects of the students needs.

I love that no two days are the same and are always busy. The biggest challenge was adapting to online teaching as well as learning and grappling with technology.

Maynooth will prepare you so well if you take the opportunities on offer.  These opportunities allow employers to see how well prepared, skilled, and confident you are.
