This event took place in the Royal Irish Academy, with a thought-provoking and engaging keynote speech by Ms Justice Marguerite Bolger, followed by a lively and insightful panel discussion moderated by Ingrid Miley BL, Former Industry and Employment Correspondent, RTÉ with Mr Ger Deering, Ombudsman and Protected Disclosures Commissioner, Mr John Devitt, Chief Executive, Transparency International Ireland, and Dr. Vigjilenca Abazi, Executive Director, European Whistleblowing Institute.

Insightful Session on King’s Inns Entrance Process Hosted at the School of Law and Criminology
Last week, the School of Law and Criminology had the privilege of welcoming Ms. Marcella Higgins, Registrar of The Honourable Society of King’s Inns, for an engaging and informative session. Hosted by Dr. Elaine Burroughs, External Relations Manager at the School, the event provided students with a valuable opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about the entrance process for the prestigious King’s Inns programme.

Prof Edward Dove publishes in Medical Law Review

David Mangan, Visiting Professor at the University of Warsaw
David Mangan has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Law. During his visit, David delivered two public lectures: “The Right to Disconnect: Hint of Autonomy or Emblem of Orthodoxy?” and “The Threshold Moment in the Digitalisation of Work”. David also spoke to graduate students about funding applications to Poland’s National Science Centre (NCN) in which he has been an expert panellist for different funding schemes. David’s visit was funded by the University of Warsaw through the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange.

Dr Anu Priyadarshini secures EPA funding to co-lead €1.32m sustainability projects
Following the research funding announcement by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) last week, Dr Anu Priyadarshini of the School of Business, Maynooth University, along with her collaborators in DCU, MTU, UCC and UCD will receive €1.32 million to fund two research projects aimed at addressing climate and environmental challenges.
