2025 RCEN: Relational Pedagogy - An Invitation to a Global Discussion
Join us at Maynooth University for the 2025 RCEN Conference exploring the fundamental role of human relationships in education. Hosted by the Froebel Department and Centre for Public Education and Pedagogy, this three-day conference (June 16-18, 2025) brings together educators, researchers, and practitioners to examine how relationships shape teaching, learning, and educational policy. Young people are exposed to high levels of marketing for gambling
New research published by Maynooth University and Ulster University has found that young people who live on both sides of the border in Ireland are exposed to extremely high levels of gambling marketing when viewing some national and international sporting events.

Maynooth Centre for European Law - Special Issue of the Northern Ireland Legal Quarterly: The Windsor Framework – guarantees, gaps and governance
The special issue is the product of the Centre’s launch workshop on the Windsor Framework - the name given to the reworked protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland – which took place in June 2023 and which was generously supported by the Maynooth University Social Sciences Institute and the University’s Impact Through Dissemination Fund.

Minister launches MU reports on home visiting services for vulnerable families
Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth Roderic O’Gorman has launched several Maynooth University reports, setting out the findings of the first ever comprehensive review of the provision of home visiting services for families with babies and young children in Ireland.

23 MU researchers listed in World’s Top 2% Scientists Rankings
Maynooth University is strongly represented in the World’s Top 2% Scientist Rankings. This year, 23 researchers are recognised as leading experts in their fields in the rankings produced by Stanford University scientists in cooperation with publisher Elsevier BV and the SciTech Strategies Inc, based on Scopus data.

We are delighted to welcome a new group of MA participants to our MA programmes in International Development, and International Peacebuilding, Security and Development Practice for the 2024/2025 academic year. We had the pleasure of meeting most of the group at our orientation day held on Monday 29th September 2024.
