2024 National Moot Court Competition
On 9 November 2024, Maynooth University’s School of Law and Criminology organised the annual National Moot Court Competition 2024. This competition, which drew teams from across the island of Ireland, took place in the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin and was very kindly sponsored by A&L Goodbody LLP.

Over 5,000 students benefit from MU's STEM Passport
Maynooth University, in partnership with Microsoft Ireland, Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland and the Department of Education, has published the STEM Passport for Inclusion Impact Report which reveals that over 5,000 students from disadvantaged backgrounds have participated in the initiative to date.

Dr. Yağmur Hortoğlu Grant organised and moderated a panel on the intersection between arbitration and criminal law during the Dublin International Arbitration Day.
The panel was composed of leading arbitration law practitioners such as Patricia Nacimiento (Herbert Freehills Smith, Frankfurt), Ahmed Abdel-Hakam (Volterra Fietta, London) and Utku Coşar (Arbitration Chambers, Istanbul & New York) and discussed the issues of money laundering in arbitration law, sham arbitrations, and fraudulent evidence in international arbitration.
