Dr Louise Kennefick Guest Seminar for the Crime, Justice and Society Group at Edinburgh University
Dr Louise Kennefick, Visiting Scholar at Edinburgh University, presented a paper "Towards a Morally Contextualised Understanding of Respect for Persons in the Criminal Law" to the Crime, Justice and Society Group. Innovation in Professional Practice Prize awarded to Clodagh O’Leary
Paul Rochford, Partner in Mason Hayes & Curran’s Education Law team gave a fascinating talk during the Maynooth University Department of Law’s Innovation in Professional Practice class. Paul spoke about the importance of translating innovative ideas into advice and services that clients find efficient and useful. Paul was at Maynooth University to present the Innovation in Professional Practice Prize to Clodagh O’Leary. This prize was awarded to Clodagh for coming first in the Innovation in Professional Practice module and was very kindly sponsored by Mason Hayes & Curran. Innovation in Professional Practice is taught in the second year of our undergraduate LLB degree.

BBA Marketing student wins national prize for research paper
Alana Devitt, a final year BBA Marketing student, in the School of Business, has been awarded the LePere prize for the best undergraduate paper on a set topic. It is a busy year for Alana because along with finishing her degree, she is also President of the MU Business and Finance Society.
