Dr. David Mangan has published “Does an online professional profile violate an employer’s confidentiality?” in the European Labour Law Journal. The commentary criticises the European Court of Human Rights’ decision in Herbai v Hungary for its exclusive focus on freedom of expression. The article argues that there is a larger (untouched) issue that regarding the overlap of professional engagement with industry colleagues through online profiles and employers’ confidentiality concerns relating to business operations. David is a member of the Journal’s editorial board and this piece is part of the Journal’s European Developments section, of which he is an editor along with Professor Miriam Kullmann and Professor Elena Gramano.
