Biography

Prior to entering academic work, he practised as a lawyer in Canada and held consulting positions. Since obtaining his Ph.D. from the London School of Economics, David has held academic positions in both the U.K. and Canada. His research focuses on obligations (contract, tort) in labour/employment and information technology settings. David’s work has been published in Europe, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. Research has been funded by organizations in the UK and in Canada, such as the Law Commission of Ontario. David regularly contributes to the blog Regulating for Globalization hosted by Wolters Kluwer. He also maintains a position as an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto. David holds the following qualifications: B.A.(Hons), B.Ed., J.D., LL.M., Ph.D., barrister and solicitor (Canada).
