2019 CTL Teaching and Learning Fellowship Awards

On Thursday 16th May, the Centre for Teaching and Learning hosted the 2019 CTL Teaching and Learning Fellowship Awards.

The Fellowships aim to facilitate practice-based research into teaching and learning, which contribute to the enhancement of teaching and learning within the University.  The theme for the 2019 CTL Fellowship call was Maynooth University as a Learning Community. Specifically, Fellowships address one or more of the following areas: innovation in postgraduate education, inclusive, international and intercultural teaching and learning, blended and online learning, assessment and curriculum design, and students as partners in curriculum and enquiry.
Maynooth University President, Professor Philip Nolan presented the six awards to the 2019 Teaching and Learning Fellowship recipients.  As part of the event, Fellows also presented on their Fellowship projects providing an overview of their innovative initiatives underway and expected outcomes.
 
Dr Fabrice Rousseau, Professor Donal O’Neill, Dr Bridget Mc Nally, and Ms Aodhdin Casey from the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting received an award for their fellowship project:  Evaluating the use of eLearning for Undergraduate and Executive Teaching at Maynooth University
