    David Cowan - Law - Maynooth University

    Dr David Cowan recently published an article in the Law Society Gazette Ireland

    The publication considers Artificial Intelligence (AI) and it use in the legal profession considering pros and cons throughout. The article is taken from Dr Cowan’s upcoming book Law and Technology (Bloomsbury Professional Ireland, 2025).

    MU scientist leads new Atlantic climate project

    Dr Gerard McCarthy of Maynooth University’s climate research unit ICARUS and the Department of Geography has been appointed as co-chair of a new initiative which aims to deliver an updated climate assessment of the Atlantic Ocean’s circulation system.

    Maynooth colleagues publish on prison leadership and restorative practices

    In May 2025, Dr. Ian Marder (Associate Professor in Criminology), Triona Kenny (PhD Student in Criminology and Research Assistant in Restorative Practices) and Katharina Kurz (PhD Student in Anthropology and Education and Research Assistant in Restorative Practices) published a new research paper in the journal Contemporary Justice Review.

    The 4 June workshop featured papers on ongoing research from members of the Centre and external speakers, including Dr Marta Morvillo (University of Amsterdam), Prof Ton van der Brinck (University of Utrecht), Prof Theodore Konstadinides (University of Essex) and Dr Darren Harvey (King’s College London).

    INPAL's First In-Person Gathering Hosted at Maynooth University
