Maynooth University Department of Biology applies for Athena SWAN accreditation
The Department of Biology has applied for an Athena SWAN Bronze Department Award in the November 2018 round. Biology is the first Department in Maynooth University to apply for accreditation.

Dr. Brenda O'Connell of MU features on RTE’s Growing Up Live
This year to celebrate Science Week, RTE produced a new series ‘GROWING UP, LIVE’ which looked at the extraordinary development of humans from birth to death, from infancy to old age, shot live in front of a studio audience. Our resident positive psychologist, Dr Brenda O’Connell co- presented with Prof Niall Moylan on how we develop in our 20’s, focusing on what science tells us about happiness during this life stage.
