David Scourfield delivers the 2017 Fowler Lecture at the University of Oxford

On 4 May 2017, Prof. David Scourfield of the Maynooth University Department of Ancient Classics delivered the annual Fowler Lecture at the University of Oxford.

Inaugurated in 2000, the Fowler Lectures have established themselves as the foremost public lecture series on Latin Literature worldwide. Former speakers have included Prof. Mary Beard, Prof. Alison Sharrock, Prof. Denis Feeney and Maynooth's own Dr Gordon Campbell.

The title of Prof. Scourfield's lecture was 'Fragmentations and Forgettings: (An)atomizing Classics in English Modernist Fiction'. It may be viewed below or at the University of Oxford website.
