Linking the Local and the Global: Applied Social Studies Seminar on Community Work in Hong Kong

Dr. Shirley Hung and Dr. Fung Kwok Kin, both experienced and committed community workers, now staff of Baptist University Hong Kong, will lead a seminar providing an overview of Community Work in Hong Kong and focusing in particular on urban re-generation and women’s initiatives. 
 
Irish practitioners, Trish Brennan and Joe Donohue will respond, drawing from their own experiences of the policy and practice of community development in women’s initiatives and in urban regeneration processes in this country. This will be followed by by an opportunity for small and large group discussion.
