Biography

Dr. Laura Coffey received her BA (Hons) in Psychology from University College Dublin and MPsychSc in Health Psychology from the National University of Ireland, Galway. In 2012, she completed her PhD on psychosocial adjustment to lower limb amputation at the School of Nursing and Human Sciences, Dublin City University, where she continued to work as a postdoctoral researcher until her appointment as Lecturer in Psychology at Maynooth University in 2015. Her research interests include the experience and psychosocial impacts of illness and disability, self-management, physical rehabilitation, assistive technologies, goal setting and management, and the development and evaluation of complex interventions.
