Maynooth University (MU) is marking the launch of a new module for undergraduate history students examining the foundations of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and its role in wider Irish society.

Prof Doherty has contributed, as the National Expert for Ireland, to a new report on transparent and predictable working conditions in Europe

The report, funded by the European Commission, assesses options for new legal rights so that all workers have more transparent and predictable working conditions. It looks, particularly, at addressing insufficient protection for workers in more precarious jobs, while limiting burdens on employers, and maintaining labour market adaptability.
